Lyngvær Lodges secures bronze at the European Design Awards

The website for Lyngvær Lodges has been awarded bronze for best website at the European Design Awards, following selection as a finalist and the ceremony in Sofia, and has separately received a Diplom at Visuelt 2026, Grafill's national design awards, in the category for brand-carrying websites.
The site was developed with the design agency Cure, who worked on both the concept and the build.
Both juries responded to the same idea. Rather than organising the site around four conventional seasons, it is built on light and dark, the two states Lofoten actually has. One click moves the entire site between midnight sun and polar night. The Visuelt jury noted that the switch changes not only the visual theme but the content itself, with activities and imagery tied to the season a guest is planning for, and described the result as coherent and carefully made across both states.
The European Design Awards have run since 2007 and are judged by publishers, editors and academics who work with design professionally, with entries from across the continent. Visuelt is Norway's principal design competition. In the same category this year, diplomas went to the websites for the Royal Court of Norway, the browser Opera Neon and the architecture practice DARK.
Every lodge under the Lyngvær Lodges name is managed by Arctic Circle Hospitality, which handles pricing, bookings, guest contact, cleaning and maintenance across the site.
